Travel and Parking
Our fictional travel information is included to help test questions about transport, parking and arrival arrangements. It is intentionally detailed but must not be treated as real directions. On arrival, golfers would use the golf lodge entrance, hotel residents the main reception entrance and event guests the signed Pavilion entrance. The estate has a low-speed shared driveway, so visitors should watch for pedestrians and golf buggies. Please arrange suitable transport before an evening event rather than assuming a shuttle is available.
Visitor information
- Parking
- There are 120 standard visitor parking spaces and six marked accessible bays. Parking is free for guests and members during their visit; it is not a park-and-ride facility or long-stay airport parking service.
- Accessible bays
- Four accessible bays are beside main reception and two are beside the golf lodge. They are available to eligible visitors on arrival and cannot be reserved as part of a standard room booking.
- Electric vehicles
- There are four 7 kW charging sockets. The fictional charging tariff is £0.48 per kWh with no connection fee. Charging is not included in room rates and spaces cannot be guaranteed in advance.
- Overnight parking
- Hotel residents may park overnight for the nights of their stay at no extra charge. Campervans may park while their owners use the venue, but overnight sleeping or camping in vehicles is not permitted.
- Rail travel
- Mereford Central, an invented railway station, is 4.5 miles from the estate. Allow approximately 15 minutes by taxi in the fictional travel scenario; no actual rail services or taxi providers are specified.
- Transfers
- No complimentary station or airport shuttle is provided. In the venue model, reception can suggest that guests arrange a licensed taxi, but this website cannot reserve transport or quote a live fare.
- Cycle storage
- A locked cycle store has space for 12 bicycles and is free for hotel residents, subject to space. Visitors bring their own locks. There is no bicycle hire or e-bike battery charging inside bedrooms.
