Gym and Personal Training
The gym offers cardio equipment, resistance machines and a free-weights area. First-time users should understand the layout and equipment before exercising independently. Staff can explain induction arrangements and help members book a qualified trainer, but the site cannot prescribe exercise for an individual's medical condition. A hotel key or health membership does not remove age restrictions. Bring appropriate footwear and use the equipment as intended rather than moving it between training zones.
Visitor information
- Minimum age
- Independent gym access starts at age 16 after an induction. Ages 13–15 may attend the supervised Teen Circuit class only; children under 13 cannot enter the gym floor, including while a parent trains.
- Induction
- A first-visit induction is required for all new independent gym users and is included without an extra fee. Book a 20-minute slot with the health team before planning an unsupervised workout.
- Opening times
- The gym opens Monday to Friday 06:30–21:30 and weekends 07:00–20:30, with last entry 45 minutes before closing. Christmas Day is closed and New Year's Day 2027 has the special 09:00–18:00 timetable.
- Personal training
- A 60-minute personal training session costs £50. A prepaid block of six costs £270 and expires six months after purchase. Gym admission must be held separately through membership, resident access or a day pass.
- Training cancellation
- Cancel or move a personal training appointment at least 24 hours before its start without losing the session. Later cancellation or a no-show uses the paid session unless the trainer cancels.
- Equipment
- The gym has eight treadmills, six upright bikes, four rowing machines, resistance stations and dumbbells up to 40 kg. There is no Olympic lifting platform or guaranteed specialist rehabilitation equipment.
- Appropriate use
- No. Membership and coaching do not guarantee a particular weight-loss, performance or medical outcome. Visitors with health concerns should obtain appropriate professional advice before choosing a programme.
