Welcome to Alderwick
Alderwick Golf, Country Club & Hotel brings two golf courses, a small country-house hotel and a health club together on one estate. Join us for a round, a weekend away, supper in the Orchard Restaurant or a family celebration. You do not need a membership to book a hotel room, restaurant table or visitor golf round. Some leisure facilities have separate access requirements, so please read the relevant page before travelling. The directory below links to every part of the estate and its current visitor information.
Visitor information
- The estate
- Our full name is Alderwick Golf, Country Club & Hotel. We are a fictional venue in the invented village of Mereford, Westmere, England; this website is a controlled demonstration, not a trading business.
- Golf choices
- The estate has the 18-hole Oakridge Championship Course and the nine-hole Meadow Course. Oakridge is intended for established golfers; Meadow is a shorter, more relaxed option for beginners and families.
- Staying overnight
- The hotel has 36 bedrooms across five room categories. Breakfast is included in the standard bed-and-breakfast tariff described on our Hotel Rates page; lunch and evening meals are not included unless a named package says otherwise.
- Visiting without membership
- Non-members can book golf, meals, afternoon tea, treatments and events. Hotel residents receive specified leisure access. A restaurant reservation alone does not give access to the gym, swimming pool or spa facilities.
- Where to start
- This demonstration website provides information only. It does not accept bookings, payments or personal details. In the fictional venue's service model, reservations would be handled by the relevant team using the channels on our Contact page.
- Current information
- Unless a page names a specific date or seasonal exception, all published prices and policies apply from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027. Prices are fictional, in pounds sterling and inclusive of applicable VAT.
